Established to answer the nation's demand for cement, Tasek Corporation Berhadwas incorporated in 1962 as Tasek Cement Limited. It commenced cement production in 1964 with an annual rated production capacity of 250,000 tonnes at its present plant in the Tasek Industrial Estate, Ipoh against the backdrop of scenic limestone hills and excellent infrastructure.
Since then, Tasek had embarked on a series of multi-million ringgit expansions in tandem with the country's development, culminating in the latest upgrading of technologies designed to produce up to 2.3 million tonnes of clinker per year efficiently. Tasek is listed on the Main Board of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad.
